ISO 17065 – IAS Accreditation – Withdrawal of Support
Subject: ISO 17065 Accreditation Notice

Dear Valued Client,

TRU Compliance (TRU) will be voluntarily withdrawing its ISO 17065 accreditation effective March 31, 2023. This decision was not taken lightly, and TRU considered feedback from clients utilizing this accreditation and determined that the added value of this accreditation for our clients’ products was unsubstantiated.

At present, it is important to note that IAS does not permit product certification labels to have an IAS or ISO 17065 label or listing. If labels with this information exist, they must be removed and replaced with labels not containing this information. Existing seismic, wind and physical security certifications will remain valid until their listed expiration dates for HCAI, IBC, and other standards.
