TRU COMPLIANCE PHYSICAL SECURITY CERTIFICATION

Contact

At TRU Compliance we make it painless to show that your product meets the standards of modern governmental and civilian physical security specifications.

Physical Security protection has evolved from its roots in military architecture to another common building performance requirement on a variety of military, commercial, and heavy industrial applications. Manufacturers of windows, doors, and HVAC products have to constantly evolve their products to keep up with this ever changing market.

TRU Compliance provides a cost effective means to stay up-to-date with the latest physical security standards so your product becomes the basis-of-design. We know how a few select physical security tests can validate a whole product line and where engineering calculations can fill in the gaps.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE

More than just a test report, a certificate of compliance is the intelligent determination that your product meets the requirements of a particular project.

When it’s time to compile a window submittal, include a TRU Physical Security Certificate of Compliance with your test report. The certificate of compliance, with its accompanying product listings, shows the specifying engineer that the product size and type you are providing is qualified by testing and/or calcuations to meet the physical security requirements of the project. Certificates of Compliance show not only the sizes and blast levels of the test, but the whole range of sizes and physical security levels allowed by a certification. Say goodbye to rejected submittals due to misunderstanding of the reviewing engineers and obtain a TRU Physical Security Certificate of Compliance today. We can review all the testing you’ve previously completed and recommend new testing or calculations to fill in the gaps.

PHYSICAL SECURITY RESISTANT WINDOWS

We can validate products through dynamic physical security calculations and certify products with shock tube or live explosive tests, adapting those results to each specific application.

PHYSICAL SECURITY RESISTANT DOORS

Nearly all occupied DoD buildings now require physical security resistant exterior doors. At TRU Compliance, we can help you test your doors to ASTM physical security standards.

ANTI-RAM BARRIER TESTING

The concept behind anti-ram vehicle barriers is simple: if you can keep vehicles out, you can better protect people within. Anti-ram barriers are distinguished from traffic control barriers by the rating they receive from a crash test, usually related to a vehicle mass, velocity, and penetration distance.

HEATING, VENTILATION & AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems hardly existed a century ago. Now they’re a critical part of every building. No longer just for our comfort, HVAC systems perform critical functions such as cooling military data centers, where loss of cooling results in loss of command and control.

PRODUCT CERTIFICATION AGENCY

Certified components require a label from an approved product certification agency, to comply with International Building Code. Similarly, building officials across the nation recognize TRU Compliance as an approved agency. Subsequently, as a product certification agency, we demonstrate the following to the authority with jurisdiction:

Independence: An approved agency shall be objective, competent and independent from the manufacturer of the product being certified.
– As a result a manufacturer cannot self certify their own components and maintain independence required for product labeling.
Personnel: An approved agency shall employ experienced personnel educated in conducting, supervising and evaluating tests and certifications.
– As a result, the staff of TRU Compliance engage with industry codes and are responsible for authoring code provisions presented in ASCE 7 for special seismic certifications.
Equipment: An approved agency shall have adequate equipment to perform required tests.
– TRU Compliance maintains a network of ISO accredited testing facilities capable of performing all required tests needed for compliance with building code provisions.
